What is diet window?
Diet window is a cycle between meal consumption and fasting in a day at regular interval. Schedule the timings of your meal at fixed time set the total numbers of your meals in a day at the fixed intervals and the time of your breakfast & dinner should be the same; such kind of setting in your diet is referred to as diet window. Sounds interesting???
· Things start with breakfastTo start with set up your get up time that will decide the time of your breakfast. If you have fixed the time of your breakfast as 8.00 am in morning the last meal the day i.e. dinner should be done at 8.00 pm in night; after which diet window does not allows you to consume anything.
In other case, if you are early to rise and start your day with breakfast at 6 am in morning then, finish your dinner at 6 in the evening and enjoy the multiple benefits of fasting.
· 4 hours gap for lunch
Grazing is done by most of dairy animals; they accumulate fats with grazing diet pattern and become efficient in producing more milk. Eating anything in between two meals is called as grazing, eating biscuits, cakes, 2 sips of cold drinks, cup of café latte, cup of ice crème or pieces of chocolates are few names eaten commonly in between 2 meals.
· Snack should be nutritious
Give the missing nutrients from breakfast & lunch into snack, for e.g. if your lunch had curd curry+ bread/chapatti + rice+ salads then you can include the sprouts with vegetable clear soup in snacks this can complete the nutrients from all food groups. Avoid intake of starchy cereals, ready to eat food packets.
· Dinner time is decided by the time of breakfast
As we discussed before, dinner should be getting finished at the time we took our breakfast, in this fashion we would complete our 12 hours in ingestion and will follow fasting for another 12 hours. On next day break the fast again at 8.00 am to give this diet a continuous cyclic flow.

What is intermittent fasting?
It is currently one of the world’s most popular health and fitness trend. It involves alternating cycles of fasting and eating. It does not tell anything about which food to eat. As both the diets (diet window and intermittent fasting) have fasting as basic principle, therefore they both share the similar pattern of diet routine.
It is nothing but fasting every day at regular interval for same period of time. Fasting helps to remove toxins from our intestines.
Anything that body does not require or anything that does not give any nutrients to body is termed as toxins. Toxins can be undigested and food materials in large intestines can be stored fat, water deposition inside the muscles, un-excreted sweats.
· What are foods to eat and how much?
This factor is dependent on the individual itself. All the homemade, fresh, tin or packaging less foods are to be consumed to stay healthy. Eat the quantity at one meal, which satisfies your hunger. No one else can predict or plan the need of your body in form of hunger.
· How many meals in a day?
You can have your breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner, finish them all within 12 hours of time and start observing fasting afterwards for next 12 hours. Intermittent fasting is therefore quite similar to diet window.
