Scam 1992 & Diet connection

Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has been in existence since 1875 in India, by the time of 1992 huge population of India were investing into it. However, diet and healthy lifestyle is in culture since 1962 when IDA i.e. Indian Dietetic Association was formed for maintenance of health, prevention and treatment of disease. Since there after there has been always a trend of following diet for health so if u don’t take care in 2020 your lifestyle probably is older than 1962. 

 The one who did the scam in 1992 not only he invested in stock market but also channelized funds into market from whatever sources he could find, this made him rich. Similarly, you need to start following good diet also channelize your time, energy, money and mind (all the sources) into developing your fitness and thereby you will enjoy health. Diet was something known and practiced during that time; ignoring diet and health in 2020 means you are lagging behind.

H. Mehta uses one dialog for many times, “risk h to ishq h” which completely applies on money, stock market and on any business but not on health. Laxity in health = risk and you will have to pay for it later. For example ignoring calcium and exercise at young age (reasons could be any, some may feel they don’t need, while others may think they are strong enough thus not required) makes the bones porous and in late 40’s gives rise to osteoporosis, makes bones brittle that breaks easily and pain all in joints of body. Therefore, don’t take any risk for your health.

H. Mehta did not understand the importance of maintaining the health until “kundali ka shani” affected his overall being. Newspaper published regarding the scam, CBI investigated this matter and arrested him and sends him in prison where he faced some health issues. After the bail he could realize the importance and started following good diet. So you should not wait for this thing to happen (kundali ka shani to affect your life) as you can see money in pocket cannot buy good health.

The time when rumors and newspapers started publishing about him, was the time when he started losing mood. One can manage many obstacles by keeping mind and mood in control. Outside environment can go through any changes, if you are taking good food your mood will be taken care of in every situation. This is because food and mood has strong connection, but if one is suffering from mental illnesses (depression , anxiety) need medicines too along with good diet. H. Mehta had no addiction of alcohol or cigarette but that's not enough consumption of good diet is essential for your mood and for your overall health.

Food and mood: commonly used phrase but less understood. Mediterranean diet has been shown to have a positive impact with depression. Diet is rich in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and pulses, unsaturated fats, oily fish and lean meat have significant improvement with depression symptoms compared to those following a standard diet. Following are the few points to explain the connection better.

1.      For most of individuals taking a cup of a tea / coffee enlightens the mood. This is because of caffeine found in these products, which increases the blood flow towards the brain, brain thus gets oxygen and sugar for energy and your mood gets elevated.

2.      When your blood sugar level decreases you may feel irritated, tired or depressed, therefore long gaps in meal should be avoided. Small and frequent meals should be eaten to maintain steady sugar levels.

3.      Taking sufficient water is necessary for normal homeostasis of body and to avoid constipation. Less intake of water causes constipation (which puts no one in a good mood).

4.      Intake of banana, dark chocolate and probiotics (probiotics are good for your GUT) take care of your good mood.
